At Art-W Studio, we have just finished a project that has filled us with pride: the creation of a Novamarines army. This commission has been a perfect opportunity to demonstrate our skills and creativity in painting and assembling miniatures, and we are excited to share the details with you.
The army includes an impressive variety of units. We have assembled all the miniatures with precision, and in the case of the Invader ATV, we have magnetized the weapons for added versatility on the battlefield.
The color scheme we have used is characteristic of the Novamarines: blue and white in alternating segments, with off-white cloth and black weapons. This scheme has been meticulously applied to all units, ensuring a uniform and striking appearance. The game-designed bases are set in a ruined urban world, adding a dramatic and realistic touch to the set.
Every phase of the project has been carried out with meticulous attention to detail. From initial assembly to final painting, we have worked with advanced airbrushing and brush techniques to ensure that each miniature not only meets, but exceeds the client’s expectations. Color matching has been a particular challenge, requiring seamless transition between shades and precise shading to highlight every detail.
This project has been an exciting challenge, not only because of the size of the army, but also because of the need to maintain high quality in each miniature. This is the first time we have worked on such an army, and we are extremely satisfied with the result. We believe this Novamarines army will be an impressive addition to any collection and we are proud to have been part of its creation.

Magnetizing and Painting: Details on the Novamarines

Our client came to Art-W Studio after hearing recommendations from other modeling enthusiasts who had worked with us. Intrigued by the quality of our work, he contacted us directly through our online form.
The brief was clear and detailed: he wanted a complete Novamarines army with their iconic color scheme. This scheme features armor divided into alternating segments of blue and white, with off-white cloth and black weapons. In addition, he requested that the bases be set in a ruined urban world, to add an epic context to his games.
The client had some special requests, most notably the magnetization of the Invader ATV weapons. This would allow to easily change weapon configurations according to the needs of each battle. He also asked us to have all the miniatures assembled and painted to an Ornate level, ensuring that every detail would stand out and that the army would look consistent and striking on the battlefield.

Between Heroes and Vehicles: The Detail in the Novamarines Army

Working on the Novamarines army has been a fascinating process that we have meticulously documented. From the beginning, we kept the client informed with daily progress photos, showing each stage of the project.
Our first step was the assembly of the miniatures. Pau focused on the sample miniature while the rest of the team worked on the other units and the magnetization of the Invader ATV weapons. With the sample approved, we proceeded to black spray primer and application of the distinctive blue and white color scheme.
We used airbrush for the color bases and brush for the details, ensuring that each miniature had a seamless transition between colors. The painters specialized in different types of units: infantry, heroes and vehicles, to optimize the work and maintain consistency throughout the army.
Daily photos allowed the client to see how each miniature came to life, which increased their enthusiasm and satisfaction. At the end of the painting, we focused on the bases, setting them in a ruined urban world. We performed a thorough final check to make sure everything was perfect before delivering the complete project.
