Space Wolves Army
Color and paint schemes
In this latest project, we had the opportunity to work on the expansion of the custom Space Wolves army for Play On Tabletop, a challenge that allowed us to merge the epic aesthetics of GreyTide Studio’s Primal Hounds with the imposing character of the Space Marines. Each miniature was carefully assembled and converted, using 3D resin bits that added unique details such as fur-trimmed shoulder pads, brutal-looking weapons and unique embellishments.
The color scheme stayed true to Space Wolf lore, with armor in shades of dark gray accented with yellow accents. The bases, set in Nordic landscapes, were also enriched with Viking ruins toppers, providing an imposing backdrop for these figures.
The painting process was carried out at an ornate level, where every detail, from the armor to the warriors’ capes, was treated with precision. The thunder wolves, with their detailed fur, and weapons were painted to stand out on any gaming table. For the bases, airbrushing techniques, pigments and textures were applied, achieving a finish that perfectly complements the outline of the miniatures.
This project not only expanded an already impressive army, but also allowed us to explore new assembly and painting techniques, always looking for each figure to stand out in its maximum splendor.

The Epic Space Wolves Expansion
Play On Tabletop got to know us thanks to a previous project we did for them, and they were so satisfied with the result that they contacted us again to expand their Space Wolves army. This time, the assignment included key figures like Logan Grimnar and new thunderwolf cavalry units and Intercessors with jetpacks. The goal was clear: keep the dark gray and yellow color scheme we had already used in previous miniatures, but with an additional twist.
We were asked to use custom 3D bits from GreyTide Studio’s Primal Hounds collection, which added an extra level of customization. Every detail had to highlight the unique character of the miniatures, and in particular, we were asked to make the Intercessors stand out with individual weapons that would give them a more heroic and legendary feel.
This project had a very personal touch for the client, who wanted to see his army grow while maintaining the same essence, but always adding a touch of originality and distinction in each miniature.

The process of this assignment was carefully planned and, as always, shared with Play On Tabletop through daily visual updates. We began by sending photos of the assembly of the miniatures, where the client could see in detail how the 3D printed bits of Primal Hounds were integrated into the figures. With each progress, the Intercessors and Thunderwolf cavalry were taking shape, and the customer’s feedback helped us fine-tune key details, such as poses and weapons.
Painting was another key point of the project. We started by applying the base scheme of grays and yellows on all the miniatures, and sent photos to ensure that the tone and intensity were what the client expected. As we progressed with the details, such as coats, capes and weapons, we kept sending images so the client could see the progress.
We also devoted special attention to the bases, showing how the Viking ruin toppers and earth and pigment effects were applied. Customer satisfaction throughout the process was crucial to us, and thanks to their feedback we were able to ensure that each miniature captured exactly what Play On Tabletop had envisioned.

The whole process has been an absolute pleasure. What really stands out to me is the communication with the Art-W team.
