Imperial Knights Army

    Imperial Knights Army
    Color and paint schemes

Our latest project has led us to imagine an army of loyal Imperial Knights as guardians of a primitive and prosperous world, where nature and technology merge. Inspired by the landscapes of the Trossachs in Scotland, we have brought to life a set of knights whose appearance reflects the ferocity of battle and the radiance of a green and majestic environment.
Each piece has been carefully assembled and magnetized to ensure versatility in combat, and we added custom 3D resin details that enrich both the miniatures and their bases. This level of customization allows each knight to be unique and true to the vision our client desired.
As for the color scheme, we opted for a palette that mixes greens and whites on the armor, accented with golden borders and luminous effects in red-orange tones. To capture the spirit of a warrior emerging from the bowels of the earth, we decorated the tops of the miniatures and bases with textures of earth, grass and small plants. Thus, we managed to make each knight look as if he had emerged from a long lethargy in the depths.
The painting of each piece was meticulous: with airbrushing we achieved the main tones, and with brush we added details such as wires, gold trim and wear effects. The bases were another key point, as they not only represent the irregular and natural terrain of this world, but also complement the aesthetics of the armor. Elements such as cork, dark earth and realistic vegetation culminated in a base where each Knight seems to be in perfect harmony with his environment.

Titans of Nature: Imperial Knights in their Purest Form

It all started when our client, a passionate hobbyist, found our work on social networks and was attracted by Art-W Studio’s detailed and careful style. He contacted us with a clear and challenging proposal: he wanted an army of loyal Imperial Knights inspired by a green and unspoiled world, where the giants seemed to come out of the earth to defend their home.
From the outset, he was specific about the color scheme he wanted. He wanted armor in green and white, with gold trim and lighting effects in reds and oranges, and bases that conveyed the feeling of a natural environment, with earth, grass and floral details. He also asked us to create custom 3D resin elements to decorate the miniatures and their bases, something that would increase the authenticity and visual appeal of the set.
With this vision in mind, and with the trust our client placed in us, we began to plan how to bring to life an army that would seem to be in total connection with the surrounding nature. It was the beginning of a project full of inspiration and challenge.

Loyal to the Green: Forging an Army from the Ground Up

As we progressed through this project, we maintained constant communication with the client, sending them photos of each stage and sharing the progress of their Imperial Knight army. We began with the assembly and magnetization of each knight, ensuring that all equipment options were perfectly matched. In parallel, we 3D printed the bits that would help us customize both armor and bases.
Once this phase was completed, we moved on to the painting of the sample miniature, which was key to aligning expectations. We painted the armor in shades of green and white and added gold trim, with red and orange lighting effects. Upon receiving the go-ahead, the client did not hesitate to express his enthusiasm, which motivated us even more to continue.
Significant progress was made every day, from airbrushing to brush detailing for wires, trims and rust effects. The bases and textures on the bodies also came to life by adding dirt, brush and flowers, achieving the desired look. Each photo shared reinforced the client’s connection to their project, making them part of the process throughout.
