Grey Knights Forces
Color and paint schemes
The assignment for this project took us to one of the most fascinating chapters of the Warhammer universe: the Grey Knights. We were asked to bring to life a small but imposing force, composed of the legendary Kaldor Draigo and Castellan Crowe, a squad of Terminators and a unit of Purifiers. From assembly to the last detail of painting, every step was designed to capture its classic essence.
The silver color scheme, with gleaming armor and wine-red fabrics, was set to the highest standards. However, we added a distinctive touch with grimdark techniques, using filters and washes that give the miniatures a grim and realistic look. The Purifiers, with their white helmets and shoulder pads, visually stand out as the spiritual leaders of this force.
The bases, authentic works of art, were customized with 3D printed elements: cracked tiles and details such as skulls that simulate abandoned ruins. Everything was painted in dark and reddish tones, reinforcing the atmosphere of a forgotten battlefield but full of history.
The level of painting varied between showy and premium, depending on each piece. Golden details, billowing fabrics and the iconic energy swords were meticulously crafted. The Castellan Crowe’s sword deserves a special mention: its fluorescent colors, between orange and violet, evoke the demonic energy trapped inside.

From the Ruins, An Army Rises: The Grey Knights
This project was born thanks to a client who, after following us on social networks, decided that we were the perfect team to bring his idea to life: a select group of Grey Knights, painted and assembled to stand out on any gaming table.
The order consisted of two legendary heroes, Kaldor Draigo and Castellan Crowe, along with a squad of Terminators and a squad of Purifiers. From the outset, he made it clear that he was looking to respect the classic chapter scheme, with shiny silver armor and deep red cloth. However, he asked us to add our unique touch, creating a finish that combined tradition with the grimdark atmosphere that characterizes our style.
Among the more specific requests, he highlighted the differentiation of the Purifiers with white helmets and shoulder pads, to make them stand out as a special unit. He also mentioned his interest in bases depicting a desolate, history-laden landscape, using custom details such as broken tiles and skulls.
From the first contact, we understood that this would be a very special project, tailored to our client’s vision.

Forged in Silver, Consecrated in Red: Our Latest Project
From day one, this project became an exciting journey, and we wanted our client to be part of every step. It all started with the assembly of the miniatures, making sure that each piece was perfectly assembled to highlight the characteristic details of the Grey Knights.
The painting process started with a black primer, ideal to highlight the metallic tones. We created a sample miniature to define the scheme: shiny silver with depth, wine red fabrics and gold trim. Once approved, we moved forward with the rest of the army, sending regular updates so the client could see his vision come to life.
More detailed phases included brush painting the Purifiers’ white fabrics and helmets, adding subtle contrasts with airbrushing. Oil washes added depth and a grimdark finish, while the energy swords were transformed into authentic pieces of art. On the Castellan Crowe, we used fluorescent colors to highlight his demonic energy.
Finally, the bases completed the visual narrative: 3D printed broken tiles, skulls and reddish terrain. Each advancement reflected a careful craftsmanship that made this project truly special.
