Space Wolves Patrol
Color and paint schemes
The Space Wolves commission faced us with a unique challenge: to give shape and character to five of their most important heroes, all painted and set at premium level. Among the figures, Canis Wolfborn, Ragnar Blackmane, Murderfang, Bjorn the Fell-Handed and the imposing Logan Grimnar in Stormrider stand out.
We kept the classic scheme of the faction, with bluish armor enriched by details in black, yellow and antique gold. To differentiate ourselves, we opted for a darker, more dramatic tone, in keeping with the grimdark style. This approach emphasizes the ferocity and heroism of these warriors.
The bases, authentic miniature scenery, represent an icy terrain with hints of thaw. The combination of cork, branches, stones and snow, along with texture effects and custom 3D elements, took realism to another level. Here, each stand not only complements, but enhances the visual narrative of each hero.
Initial assembly was key: we worked on every joint and detail to ensure a perfect assembly before painting began. We applied cutting-edge techniques to each figure, from gradients and textures to lighting effects and details such as blood or reflections.

Customer briefing
Between Snow and Blood: Fenris Heroes Revive
Our first contact with this client was direct and exciting. As a loyal Space Wolves fan, he had an ambitious project in mind: to transform five of his favorite heroes into true masterpieces of painting and assembly. From the outset, we understood that this was not just any assignment, but an opportunity to create something truly epic.
The client laid out his vision clearly: he wanted the classic Space Wolves scheme, but with a darker, grimdark approach. The blue armor was to convey a sense of battle, with yellow, black and gold details that would highlight the ferocity and nobility of these warriors. In addition, he asked for the bases to be more than a complement; they had to be icy landscapes that reflected the hostile and savage environment in which these heroes inhabit.
To achieve this, he commissioned us not only to paint them to a premium level, but also to meticulously assemble them and create custom elements using 3D printing. We knew that this project would require our utmost effort, but also that it would be an incredibly satisfying experience.

In the Eye of the Wolf: Grimdark Mastery and Detailing
This project was an exercise in precision and creativity. We opted for a progressive approach, working on each miniature individually. We started with Ragnar Blackmane, so that the client could assess the quality and style before moving on to the rest.
From day one, we shared progress photos, showing each stage: detailed assembly, black primer and airbrushed bases. The painting took the miniatures to our premium level, with subtle gradients, complex textures on the armor, and finishing touches like OSL effects and gems that shone brightly.
The construction of the bases was just as careful. We used cork to create unevenness, added branches and barbed wire, and finished with snow and thaw effects. Each stand told a unique story, perfectly complementing the figure it held.
With each miniature, the process was unique, from the wild character of Canis Wolfborn to the majestic presence of Logan Grimnar. At all times, the client was kept abreast of the progress, receiving photos showing how each hero took shape.

The whole process has been an absolute pleasure. What really stands out to me is the communication with the Art-W team.
