Eldar Ulthwé Army
Color and paint schemes
A complete army of the Eldar Ulthwé craftworld composed mostly by flying units and different Eldar aspect warriors. Following the predefined scheme of miniature paint of the craftworld with some adaptation and with our characteristic style. It includes a colossal Hemlock Wraithfighter accompanied by several Windriders and other bikers. In addition to The Yncarne who commands the troops into battle.
The project is painted to our Game level almost entirely except for the army commander who is Ornate. And all the bases for the miniatures are done at the Ornate level to give a better atmosphere to the army on a leafy forest. No modifications or conversions were made in the assembly of miniatures. We only made some small kitbash indicated by the customer to give more variety to the troops.
It is a very clean scheme, without battle damage or weathering. We have focused on working the reflections of the black armor and give contrast with the warm tones of the bone color and the cold of the tunics and cloths (maroon) and the violet tones on the vehicles glasses.

Customer briefing
I want you to Paint an army of several Aeldari with Ulthwé theme
I’ve been thinking about starting an Eldar army for a long time and the time has come, now is the moment. I really like the aesthetics of the Ulthwe craftworld and I would like to follow that artistic line with the adaptations that you see necessary.
I would like them to have no battle damage, no wear and tear, no weathering. I want to keep that pure and clean presence of the elves. For the rest you can combine with the tones that you see better, the heraldry and the badges (bone color stripes) I leave it to your miniature studio to your good work.

Follow up, Ulthwé Craftworld is here
Having already a very defined scheme we didn’t have much creative freedom and we focused on giving a personalized and distinctive touch to the army by changing the usual deep red for a more desaturated maroon. We also introduced purple to the scheme through the screen of the vehicles and the skins that could be seen between the armor.
Working with black is always complex and even more so in a level 1 project where as a rule the miniatures are always darker than in higher levels. We opted for a very bright black to give a sense of clarity, this was by creating very marked reflections on the armor plates. And finally we opted for a combination of green tones for the Warhammer bases that complement the maroon and purple of the scheme.
