Dark Angels

    Dark Angels
    Color and paint schemes

The last project we completed in the studio led us to work on an exciting assignment: an army of Dark Angels with an unmistakable Grim Dark style. This army includes an impressive array of miniatures, with Deathwing Terminators, Sternguard Veterans and armored vehicles such as the Gladiator and the Impeller. Iconic characters such as Azrael, Belial and Asmodai stand out with premium level painting, honoring their legendary status in Warhammer 40k lore.
The classic color scheme of the Dark Angels, with dark, saturated greens, is perfectly complemented by the off-white and dark red accents of the Deathwing. To reinforce the visual unity, we used the same shades of red and green in both schemes. For their part, the bases were enriched with 3D elements, evoking a hostile landscape full of history.
Assembly and conversions also played a crucial role. The Librarian received a new weapon, a detail that adds personality to the figure, while the armor was magnetized to allow flexibility in the use of its weapons. From the bases to the level of painting, each unit reflects a careful and respectful work with the rich history of this chapter.

Between Light and Darkness: The Dark Angels in All their Splendor

The client came to us looking to transform his vision of an army of Dark Angels into a palpable reality. Through recommendations and our presence in the modeling world, he decided to trust our studio to bring his project to life. From the first contact, he clearly conveyed his desire: an army that kept the classic essence of the Dark Angels, but with a Grim Dark style that captured the grim and enigmatic spirit of the chapter.
The commission included an impressive array of miniatures, from iconic characters like Azrael and Asmodai to Deathwing units and armor. He wanted two distinct but connected color schemes: the dark, saturated green of the Dark Angels, and the signature off-white of the Deathwing, both with dark red and green accents for cohesion.
In addition, he asked us for some special touches: magnetizing the armor weapons, converting the Librarian’s weapon to make it more unique, and designing custom bases with 3D details. The goal was to create an army that would not only stand out on the gaming table, but also be a piece worthy of display, with custom paint levels depending on the importance of each unit.

Guardians of Chaos: The Art of Painting the Deathwing

The process of this project was quite a journey, from the first moment we received the order to the final moment of delivery. We started with color testing, painting two samples for the Dark Angels and Deathwing schemes. With the client’s approval, we dove right into the work, assigning each team member to a specific unit to ensure an efficient allocation of time and resources.
As we progressed, we kept the client informed by sending daily progress photos. From initial assembly to final painting, all phases were carefully documented so that he could follow the progress and provide us with any feedback. We made sure that each miniature received the attention it deserved, with details and finishes that exceeded his expectations.
The bases were left for last, with the aim of working on them as a whole, achieving a uniform and spectacular finish for the whole army. The end result is a cohesive army, with figures that shine both on the gaming table and in display cases. Smooth communication and commitment to quality made this project an incredible experience for both us and the client.
