At Art-W Studio, we continue to navigate the vast tide of the Warhammer universe, and this time, we have emerged with a project that evokes the grim and desperate corners of the Flesh Eater Courts. This grotesque and macabre army is made up of 30 Ghouls, 6 Crypt Horrors, 6 Vargheist, 30 Grave Guards, 40 Deadwalker Zombies and a necromancer (Gorslav) who conjures chaos and desolation on the battlefield.

We have kept a similar aesthetic fidelity to the original box art, but infused a realistic touch and chromatic variety into the skin of the units, achieving a chilling vision of these creatures of the night. The armour bears the marks of time and battle, showing wear and tear that tell tales of past combat.

The miniature bases reflect a desolate landscape of sparsely vegetated land, dotted with bloodstains that hint at the violence unleashed by this army. Each miniature has been meticulously painted, combining our Game and Ornate levels for a spectacular result.

The client who brought us this fascinating Flesh Eaters project had worked with us before and was so delighted with the results that he decided to embark on another artistic adventure. From the outset, his vision was clear: he wanted his army to resemble the original box art, but with a realistic touch and a little more variety in the unit colours.

The creation of this Flesh Eater Courts army has been an exciting journey. We started with a single sample miniature to ensure it met the client’s expectations. Once approved, we created the recipe and set to work on the rest of the project.

Throughout the process, we were in constant communication with the client, sharing photos of the daily progress and making sure that every detail was in line with the client’s wishes. It has been a real pleasure to work on this project and we can’t wait to embark on the next extension.
