Legion Imperialis Titans
Color and paint schemes
When it comes to power on the battlefield, few can match the majesty of an army of Legion Imperialis titans. This assignment has allowed us to bring to life five of these giants, all belonging to the legendary Legio Ignatum. The detachment includes a Warlord, a Warbringer Nemesis, a Reaver and two Warhounds, painted with the official scheme extracted from the Burden of Loyalty book.
The painting process was done following our usual methodology for this kind of projects: internal structure and armor separately, allowing a more detailed work on each element. The color scheme, with red plates, yellow details and the iconic black warning stripes, has been faithfully reproduced. In particular, the black stripes have been the biggest challenge, as their application requires meticulous masking to ensure crisp, well-defined lines.
In terms of customization options, we have magnetized the Warhounds’ weapons, offering versatility in the deployment of force. The bases have been worked on a balanced gameplay level, representing a devastated battle terrain, with debris and remnants of war, evoking the brutal scenarios in which these titans usually fight.

Customer briefing
Red as War, Black as Death: The Making of a Legion
Some clients come through recommendations, others by seeing our work in networks. In this case, the client discovered us while researching painters specialized in Adeptus Titanicus miniatures. He had a clear goal: he wanted his detachment of titans to faithfully reflect the iconic Legio Ignatum scheme, with no alterations or additions outside the official background.
The assignment included a Warlord, a Warbringer Nemesis, a Reaver and two Warhounds, all painted at game level and following the Burden of Loyalty book reference. In addition, he requested that the weapons of the Warhounds be magnetized, allowing him more flexibility when deploying them in battle.
For the bases, he asked for something in keeping with the brutality of titanic warfare: an environment of devastated earth and rubble, evoking the relentless passage of these war machines across the battlefield.

The process began with meticulous planning: to speed up the work and ensure a clean finish, we decided to paint the internal structure and the armor plates separately. This strategy allowed us to apply details and shading without interference, achieving a more polished result.
The Legio Ignatum scheme was a pleasure to work with, but it had its challenge: the black stripes on the yellow plates. To ensure accurate, flawless lines, we used a masking method, allowing us to apply the color without affecting the rest of the miniature.
During the process, we send the customer daily updates with progress photos, from the first layers to the final details. Seeing the evolution of his titans in real time allowed him to enjoy the process even more and give us feedback at every stage.
With the miniatures finished, we assembled each titan and worked on the bases to give them a look that matched their background: a devastated war landscape, full of rubble and torn earth. The final result was impressive and left the client delighted.
