Lumineth Realm-Lords Band
Color and paint schemes
At Art-W Studio, we have just completed an exciting project for a passionate Warcry client. Our assignment was to paint five bands to the highest standard, and today we want to share with you the process of creating the “Lumineth Realm-Lords” band.
Each miniature was precisely assembled and decorated with 3D printed bits to add a unique touch to the bases, simulating an environment of classical ruins overrun by vegetation.
The color scheme chosen was inspired by Warhammer box art, with deep blue robes illuminated with sky blue, immaculate white cloth and gold ornamentation. This uniform scheme was applied to all the miniatures in the project, ensuring a cohesive and majestic appearance.
Our painter Paco, who has proven to be an up-and-coming talent, decided to tackle all the miniatures simultaneously because of the uniformity of the scheme. He began with assembly, followed by a color swatch to get the client’s approval. Once approved, Paco employed advanced techniques such as airbrushing for white tones and oil washes to enhance details.
The bases were no less important, meticulously decorated with 3D resin bits to represent a ruined battlefield, immersed in an environment of reclaiming nature. The cleanliness and vividness of the scheme was achieved by using saturated oils instead of the classic dirt and rust effects, providing a clean and vibrant finish.

A History of War and Art: The Lumineth Realm-Lords
Our client, a passionate Warcry fan, found us through social media. He had seen some of our previous projects and was impressed with the quality and detail of our work. He didn’t hesitate to contact us to commission the painting of five Warcry bands, each at our highest level.
In particular, he asked us to work on the “Lumineth Realm-Lords” band. He wanted these miniatures to stand out in his games and provided us with a specific color scheme inspired by Warhammer box art: shades of deep blue and sky blue, pristine white cloth and ornate gold detailing.
The client had some special requests. He wanted the bases to be unique, so we used 3D printed bits to create an environment of ancient ruins shrouded in greenery. In addition, he asked that the miniatures be painted to reflect a clean, vibrant look, without the dirt and rust effects we often use.

A Warcry Masterpiece: The Band of the Lumineth Realm-Lords
The development of the “Lumineth Realm-Lords” band was an exciting journey, full of details and constant communication with our client. Paco, our painter, decided to work on all the miniatures at the same time due to the consistency of the color scheme.
We started with the assembly of a Vanari Auralan Warden miniature, creating a color sample for the client. Once approved, we proceeded to assemble and paint the rest of the miniatures. We used airbrush for the white base color and then applied the blues and metallics.
Each day we would send progress photos, showing each stage and getting feedback from the client. Deep blue oil washes helped define the details, while the final finishes brought the miniatures to life.
The bases were designed with 3D printed bits, simulating ancient ruins overrun by vegetation. We opted for saturated oils to keep the aesthetic clean and vibrant.
This detailed and collaborative process allowed the client to see their vision come to life. Each miniature reflects our dedication and passion for the art of painting, resulting in a band that is sure to impress at any Warcry game.
