Marine Kroot KT
Color and paint schemes
Greetings, Warhammer lovers and Art-W Studio fans! We are excited to share with you our most recent project. Our brave client entrusted us with three bands of Aliens for the Kill Team skirmish game. Imagine the intensity of each game with a band of Harlequins, with their garishly colored diamonds; a band of Genestealer Cult, with orange skins and blue-gray robes; and a band of Kroot Warriors, with greenish skins and leather robes.
This was not a simple project; it was an odyssey of creativity and skill. We meticulously assembled each miniature, making sure every detail was perfectly in place. The initial effort laid the groundwork for the real magic: painting at the Ornate level. Each band, with its unique scheme, came to life under the brush of our artists.
The Marine Kroot KT, with their greenish skins, stood out in a scheme that paid homage to the new miniatures of the stalking warband. Fire-red details highlighted the amulets around their necks, adding a touch of ferocity.
Ah, the bases, the canvas that completes the masterpiece. The Kroot Warriors marched on a beach, their bases modeled with splashed sand and captivating waves, thanks to our foray into resin dyes and innovative products.
But what would a project be without challenges? We decided to magnetize all the weapon options for the Harlequins, taking customization to the next level. In addition, we incorporated 3D printed elements with strategic ingenuity, adding depth and texture to the miniatures.

Brushstrokes in the Sand: The Art Behind the Kroots
We had the pleasure of welcoming a passionate Kill Team commander. How did we meet? It was through the vibrant fabric of social media that our client, immersed in the Warhammer universe, discovered Art-W Studio’s unique creations.
This strategist contacted us with a clear vision: three alien bands, each with their own unique identity. The request was clear: a band of Harlequins, dazzling in garishly colored diamonds; a band of the Genestealer Cult, swathed in orange skins and blue-gray robes; and a band of Kroot Warriors, with their greenish skins and leather robes.
The request carried with it a desire for military cohesion and unity in each band, a canvas for storytelling on the battlefield. Our client, meticulous in their details, also expressed the need to customize the Harlequins with magnetized weapon options, taking versatility to the max.

When Art Turns into Strategy
Every brushstroke has brought the three alien bands to life for Kill Team. From the first encounter with the miniatures to the final deployment, our process has been a symphony of creativity and precision.
The daily photos sent to our strategist have been a window into our workshop, revealing the meticulous process. Adam, our skilled artist, immersed himself in the creation of the Kroot Warriors. Each miniature was erected on cork stumps, allowing optimal access for applying shadows and airbrushed details. The greenish skin, the worn clothing and the touches of fire red on the amulets, all carefully executed.
The bases, true masterpieces in themselves, evoke the serenity of a beach dotted with waves. Adam modeled each wave in the sand, adding layers of turquoise-blue dyed resin to capture the essence of the sea. The result: a visual fusion of alien nature and stunning realism.
The daily images not only documented progress, but also innovation. taking customization to new heights.
