Slaanesh Sybarites band

    Color and paint schemes

At Art-W Studio, we have finished a spectacular project for a Warcry enthusiast client. This assignment consisted of painting five bands, and today we want to highlight the “Slaanesh Sybarites” band. In addition, each miniature has been painted and assembled to our highest level of quality.
For this band, we opted for a color scheme inspired by Warhammer box art, using deep purples, vibrant pinks and rich gold accents. These colors perfectly capture the hedonistic essence of the followers of Slaanesh, reflecting their devotion to excess and brutality.
The bases of these miniatures are true works of art, set on a battlefield of classical ruins with glowing cracks representing the corruption of chaos. To achieve this effect, we 3D printed bits of ancient ruins, adding an extra level of detail and realism that makes the miniatures stand out even more.
The assembly and painting process was meticulous. We assembled each miniature with care, using the most advanced techniques to make sure every detail was perfect. The differentiation between heavily armored warriors and archers with exposed skin allowed us to show our skill in working with different materials and techniques.
Each miniature was painted at a premium level, from the skin of the archers to the armor of the warriors. We used saturated oils to bring life and vibrancy to the colors, making sure to avoid any dirt or rust effects to maintain a clean and vibrant scheme.

Perfection in Purple & Gold: Slaanesh Sybarites

Our client came to Art-W Studio fascinated by the work we shared on our social networks. An enthusiast of the Warcry band set, he was especially attracted by our painting techniques and attention to detail. He contacted us with a very special commission: five Warcry bands painted to the highest level of detail, with special interest in the “Slaanesh Sybarites” band.
The client asked us to use a vibrant color scheme, based on Warhammer box art tones, with purples, pinks and gold details. In addition, he requested that the bases have a classic ruins environment with glowing cracks, representing the corruption of chaos. He wanted each miniature to capture the hedonistic essence of Slaanesh, with a clean and vibrant appearance, without grungy effects.
Specifically, he wanted the Blissbard Archers, with lots of exposed skin, and the Myrmidesh Painbringers, covered in armor, to stand out individually while maintaining a cohesiveness in the overall scheme. With these guidelines in mind, we accepted the challenge and began working to meet his expectations and bring his vision to life.

Elegance & Chaos: The Slaanesh Sybarites Band

The journey of creating the “Slaanesh Sybarites” band has been both exciting and challenging. From day one, we focused on providing daily updates to our client, showing every step of the process. We started with the assembly of the miniatures, making sure each piece was perfectly assembled before proceeding.
Mar, one of our most experienced painters, took on this project. First, he assembled the Blissbard Archers and made a sample color scheme that we sent to the customer for approval. Once approved, we moved forward with the assembly of the other miniatures. Daily updates included photos of the assembly, underpainting and detailing.
We decided to divide the miniatures into two groups: archers and warriors. Mar worked first on the skin of the archers with airbrushing, followed by the fabrics and metal details. He then moved on to the warriors, focusing on the armor with deep lilac tones. Each stage was documented and shared with the client.
Finally, the bases were crafted with 3D printed bits, creating an environment of classical ruins with luminous cracking effects. Daily photos showed the evolution of each miniature, from the base to the final details, making sure the client was always aware and satisfied with the progress.
