Slaves To Darkness Heroes

    Slaves To Darkness Heroes
    Color and paint schemes

Plunging into chaos has never been so spectacular. In this project, we had the pleasure of painting a select collection of Slaves to Darkness heroes, among them the imposing Archaon the Everchosen and Be’Lakor, true emblems of Chaos. Alongside them, figures such as the Chaos Lord on Demonic Steed, Eternus, Blade of the First Prince, and a squad of Chaos Warriors formed a brutal and intimidating ensemble.
The color scheme follows the Games Workshop tradition, but with a distinctive touch: intense reddish lights run through the armor and runes, giving a hellish aura to each miniature. In addition, blood is the protagonist in this army. The bases, worked at the highest level, are soaked in crimson, as if these imposing figures were advancing through a recently devastated battlefield.
The complexity of the project lay not only in the level of detail, but also in the need to maintain visual coherence between heroes and units. Although each miniature is a unique piece, they all share the same dark and violent atmosphere. We also took care of the assembly and magnetizing of some of the figures, making sure that each one was ready for the game table without losing quality or functionality.

Blood Walkers: An Army that Inspires Fear

It’s not every day that a project with so much character comes along. The client found us after seeing our work on Warhammer miniatures and contacted us with a very clear idea: he wanted a Slaves to Darkness army that conveyed brutality and power, with an aesthetic according to the dark legend of these forces.
He commissioned us a selection of heroes and warriors, with special attention to Archaon, Be’Lakor and Eternus. The main guideline was to respect the official army scheme, but adding a differentiating element: red lights on runes and armor, reflecting the demonic power flowing through them.
In addition, the bases had to be spectacular, with blood effects to reinforce the image of a freshly devastated battlefield.
We were also asked to assemble and magnetize some miniatures, ensuring that they would be versatile and resistant on the table. With this assignment on the table, we knew we had an ambitious project on our hands, but also an opportunity to create something truly epic.

Transforming these miniatures into authentic works of art was a process as challenging as it was rewarding. We started by preparing and assembling the figures that needed it, making sure that each one was ready to receive the Premium and Ornate paint treatment.
The first step was to define well the reddish lights on runes and armor, one of the keys of the scheme. After a test miniature and the client’s validation, we moved on to the rest of the army, dividing the work by units and heroes.
Each miniature received individual attention, but it was Archaon who took most of the time. His size and level of detail demanded absolute precision. Be’Lakor and the Demon Prince, with their more reddish tones, stood out within the set, bringing variety without breaking the cohesion.
Premium bases with blood effects were the finishing touch, giving the sensation of these figures advancing through the remains of their enemies. At each stage, the client received detailed previews, watching his army come to life little by little. When finished, the result spoke for itself: a brutal, imposing army, ready for war.
